Mick
Goodyear, a well known Rocker who joined the 66 club in 1968 has died
on Saturday 2nd January in his home town of Leeds. Mick, 62 years old
died as a result of complications that set in following an altercation
that broke four of his ribs, not helped by the fact that he suffered
from cancer Miners disease in one lung and pneumonia in the other. He
was never one to do things by half!
During
the mid 60's Mick
travelled to Jersey joining the 92 bike club there, before coming to
Guernsey with his cafe racer style Triumph 500 5TA with sweptbacks and
clipons. He stayed with members Janson and Loopy for part of his time
in Guernsey. A wreath of the 66 logo will be sent to his wife Ann for
the funeral. Any contributions from mates of Mick please call John
Allen. The funeral will be at 12:20 on 14th January followed by
cremation. He wasn't too old to rock and roll but
was too
young
to die. RIP Mick Goodyear. |
